Look at it this way Diann.  If you were a dancer, and you wanted to become a popular dancer, you'd want to be nice to people, be friendly, and dance well.  The more people you talk to, the more people like you, and the more popular you become.  You make friends with other dancers, and join up and form dancing troups, and people see you and spread the word further.

It's more than just ass kissing, it's interacting.  A smile here, a wink there.

It's my goddamn job to make sure you do your goddamn job.

Ooo!  So just interacting with the world, exploring, making friends, doing things I like to do anyway is actually rewarded in this game?

    That's the general idea, yeah.
I suppose you could say it's rewarded in pretty much the same way as it would be in real life.

In other words, "erratically".  Do somebody a favour and they might be grateful.  Or they might think you're trying to make them grateful and therefore not be.  Or they might decide you're aiming to socially high and savagely slander you behind your back.  Or buy you a dress.

Who knows?  AI can be quite confusingly unpredictable, even for me.

Unscripted, non-repeating events.  No reputation grinding.  No 'afk dancing'.

    Sadly, it's not quite true.

I can't even say that there's no benefit to dancing afk.

I will be submitting a design document on choreography before the end of this month, though.  And i'll put it somewhere you can see it, so don't get upset about this.  Yet.
