    Re: Ask us anything

I think she's asking whether players can transfer possession of an item from one of their characters, to another. Thinking that since her Faithless character is susceptible to death, and that since her Faithful character is not, an item would be in safer keeping in possession of the Faithful character. And that when her Faithless character dies, her Faithful character can pass along the item to her new Faithless character...

I'm not sure how to answer this, and I'm not sure that I'm the right person to answer it.
It's a fairly complicated issue regarding death of Faithless characters, and what happens to all the possessions of a Faithless character after they die, and players transferring items between their characters.

Hopefully my rewording of Dia's question will allow Rich to better understand it, and possibly provide an answer.

I'm still puzzled.  I could give you my coat but i'm pretty certain it would be too big for you.

Would probably fit your Faithless twin brother though yes?

I'm still confused.  Yes it wold, but so what?  If you shoot me and i die, it'll have a big hole in it and prbably bloodstains.

Of course you can give anything to anyone.  That doesn't mean it'll be of any use to them.

Great!  That's what I wanted to know:  If I can give something to my other self.

I apologize for not phrasing my question very well.

One other thing... I don't recall that we reached a final conclusion on the discussion of 'wills' for faithless... whereby upon death their recoverable properties are distributed to specified beneficiaries.  I seem to recall that we were not doing that... at least not at initial release.

    Re: Ask us anything

This one did throw me quite badly.  I mean, of course you can.  Or you can just leave it somewhere and pick it up on another character.  Or whatever.  Anything, really.  This is not about "transferring from one inventory to another" because it won't work that way.  You don't get a magic inventory where you can keep four sets of clothes without it being a visible suitcase that uses one hand.  If you happen to have pockets, you can use them (unless you dress like Kohs) but no way can you get 13,000,000 units of lead in your pockets and (i calculated this once in SWG) since the amount of units required to make a speeder came out to a recognisable figure, that would mean at maximum you could carry about 14 metric tonnes.

    That. Won't. Happen.

Forget what MMOs have taught you.
